Texas State Fair!!

Had a wonderful day at the fair today. It was 75 degrees and foggy. Not the prettiest of days, but hey, not to bad. We were there early in the morning, so thankfully there was not much of a crowd. Around noon, a ton of people arrived, but thankfully we were leaving. Evan had a great time. He had his first corn dog, fried oreo, and fried kraut. Sure, not my best parenting moment, but he wanted to try it! He also got to pet a longhorn, get close to an emu, and feed a goat. We walked down midway and he admired all the loud game and shining lights! We were hoping to take Evan on the iconic ferris wheel, but decided we would wait until he was a little older. By the time we left, he was exhausted and slept all the way to the car.
After the fair, we went to meet up with Grammy and Pops and celebrate Grammy's 25th birthday! We had some mexican food and Evan had his first kids meal. He chomped down the rice, tried to eat the beans, and didn't care too much for the cheese quesadilla! It was an excellent meal with even better company.
Whew. A long day! It wasn't quite over becuase we came home to watch the Ranger game! It was a nerve wracking game and Evan fell asleep about the 10th inning. Thankfully we won! AND we won in style! Way to go Cruz!
