3 day refresh



As soon as Mark and I got back from vacation, I could feel how tight my pants were. A week of indulgent food and unlimited alcohol is a recipe for weight gain. We made sure to have a lot of fun, but I knew getting back that I needed something to get me back on track. And, being a beachbody coach, I knew the perfect product. The 3 day refresh.

If you answered yes to any of he above questions, it's time to try the three day refresh!
The biggest question I get is: 
So what do you eat during the three day refresh?? 
Breakfast: 

Shakeology + fruit


Mid-Morning Snack: 

Fiber sweep 


Lunch: 

Vanilla protein shake + fruit + veggie + healthy fat


Mid-Afternoon Snack: 

Veggie + healthy fat


Dinner: 

Vanilla protein shake + one of the provided veggie-based dinner recipes


 

They provide you with a nutrition guide that lists out many many options for your fruits, veggies and healthy fats. Apples, grapes, carrots, cucumbers, bell peppers, almond butter, and hummus were some of my go-to foods.

You aren't eating meat or dairy, but you are still filling your belly with nutrional foods.

Don't forget to drink a lot, a lot of water. It's great for your body, keeps hunger at bay, and you need it! So drink up!

So, let me tell you about my experience! 

I was really excited to get started. I went shopping Sunday and prepped all my fruits and vegetables so they were ready to grab and eat the next three days.

Come Monday morning, day one, I started with a chocolate shakeology, how I start a lot of days. I love my shakeology. I just mix almond milk, a handful of ice, and a packet of shakeology. There are a ton of recipes to choose from and you can customize it with fruit. 


I didn't mix my shakeology with fruit, so I saved it for a midmorning snack. This gave me a lot of energy and filled me up.


After that was fiber drink time.....dun dun dun! I hate fiber drinks. They are so thick that I have trouble getting them down. This one wasn't different. It actually tasted yummy - kinda fruity, but the texture is just so thick. Just chug it as fast as you can and be done with it. You only have to drink it three times. 

And I know what you are thinking, fiber drink, you mean run to the toilet drink. Nope. Never had that issue the entrie three days. So live your life as usual while on the refresh. 

Lunch time, was a new shake, vanilla. This was great, but you have to figure out how you like to mix it. You drink 6 of these over the three day period, so find a way to spice it up. I did strawberry and vanilla in the blender with ice, vanilla and cinnamon, and vanilla, cinnamon, and apple. I also only used 8 ounces of water. My lunch was strawberries, cucumbers, and hummus. Yum yum!


Mid afternoon snack was almond butter and celery! One of my go to snacks on a normal day. I swamped out my snacks with my lunch on other days.

The first night I had a salad with vinaigrette, the second night a delicious veggie stir fry, and a salad, again, the third night.

I loved all of these meals and would eat them one a normal night, but usually I add meat! 

My day was over! I did it. I was never starving, shaking, or weak. In fact, I felt like I had a lot of energy, despite giving up my caffeine! It's amazing how great your body feels when you out good stuff in it. I did want some bread the first day, but I knew I could make it three days, and I did! 

The three days go by really fast! Don't fret, you might actually enjoy it and you'll figure out how to encorporate more fresh foods into your diet. 

I have to make a shout out to juicer heroes in frisco. So yummy and I had one on day two because I just needed something different. They are raw and so fresh. Go try them!


I would recommend the three day refresh to basically anyone not pregnant or nursing! It's a great way to get you on the right track. I minimized my sugar cravings and I am keeping them at bay!

This is what 3 days does! Officially back to my pre vacation weight. Now I am back on track with piyo, barre3, and eating healthy and hoping to get to my goal.
