Happy Halloween!!

Evan had a busy weekend. Saturday, we had 'aunt' Mandy over. She helped us carve some pumpkins and make some cake balls. We had a great time! Too bad Tech lost, big time!! Sunday, we had the Hoppers over. We got the chance to celebrate Bill's birthday and Matt and Lindsey's engagement. It was a fun night. Evan even got to open his first wrapped gift. He was a little confused by it, but I am sure he will have it figured out by Christmas. Thanks Grammy and Pops for the cool jumping ball!! Today, Evan and I went to the park to hang out with some of his new friends. He was a little shy at first, but after a while he was playing along side the other kids. He loved his friends bow. He doesn't quite understand what is on her head, but is too afraid to grab at it! It is fun to watch him explore new things, play with new toys, and be a little independent! Hopefully with all of his new friends, he will become a little more social. The best news is he was a good boy the whole time and seemed to really enjoy being outside with his new friends!!

Getting out there!

We have had a very busy week and we will be busy for a while! I love it!! I joined a mom's group, comprised of mom's that had babies in 2011. I have only been to one meet up, but so far I love it. It is what I was really looking for.

On Wednesday, we went to a library meetup. It was great. Just a quick 20 minute lesson, but we read a book, sang some songs, practiced signing, and had some free time. I hope to take Evan every week. Not only will the interaction with other babies help, but songs and books should stimulate his speech! On the speech news, I still haven't heard back from the speech therapist. They said 4-5 days, and today was day 4. SO, we have to wait ALL weekend, but hopefully, by Monday, we will know something.

Thursday, we had our first day of Gymboree! Evan enjoyed most of it. It is a 45 minute long class, and about 40 minutes in he decided he had enough. The class was wonderful! I loved all the activities and the explanations of why they are beneficial to our little ones. I think once Evan gets used to all the stimulation he will really enjoy it. I can't wait to take him back. The only down side (or maybe the plus side) is that there is a lot of leg/arm work. When you have a 20 pound baby, those activities aren't so easy. Gymboree is like a work out for mom and baby!!

Friday, we finally just sat at home. I was actually bored. I could get used to this going out during the day stuff :)
After story time.

Checkin out his new friends!

Troy is bored of Evan!

9 months!

This will be short and sweet. We have an early day tomorrow. Just want to wish an extra special birthday to Pops. We hope you had a great day and can't wait to celebrate with you on Sunday! In other exciting news, today was Evan's 9 month "birthday." We spent the day at a cloth diaper shop. He had fun playing with another 9 month old boy! I can't believe my lil' guy is so old. Time is just going by to fast.

This is what happens when you try to get a good picture.

The best I could get....not quite a smile.

Hey, what's this?

I'm outta here!

Yum paper!!

What's going on?

Stare down!

Huh??

Finally, a smile!!
