Soccer, Mickey, and a day full of sugar!

We had a busy day this Saturday. It kicked off with Evan's last soccer game in the new 3-4 age group. Evan and his team had a blast this season, but their team was awful. I don't think they ever scored a goal (for the right team) all season long. If Evan could earn to steal the ball away, he might be a pretty soccer player. Since he is on the younger side, the older kids would just take the ball away and Evan would just let them. So, we are going to take a break from soccer and join back in when he is a little older. Evan has always had fun playing though. And, he did learn about team work and had a blast while doing it, so mission accomplished.
Everyone got a medal.

Trying to get a picture with coach.

He is ready to go see Mickey...not take pictures.

After the game, Grammy, pops, and I, all went to stonebriar mall for the reopening of the Disney store. Mickey and Minnie were there, so evan and Margaret were really excited to meet them. The down side was we had to wait in quite a long line. Thankfully it moved fast and Grammy and pops kept the kids entertained.

Margaret waiting in line.

Evan being silly while we waited.

We were getting close and the kids couldn't take their eyes off Mickey! Evan was jumping up and down and Margaret was pointing and kept saying 'nickni, nickni'

She was in awe.

Mickey waiting for the kiddos.

Evan was so excited that Mickey played with his rescue bots. Mickey rolled bumblebee on the floor. Evan told Mickey all about his rescue bots.

Mickey seemed impressed which made Evan's day.

Then Mickey gave evan a big hug.

Margaret wasn't so sure about Mickey once we got close. She didn't scream, but kept an eye of him to make sure he didn't come too close.

All smiles from this boy.

One last big hug.

It was probably 2 o clock at this time, so we all needed some lunch.

Of course, we had some chickfila.

Grammy reading Evan his book from chickfila.

Last stop was a cookie!

As big as Evan's head. He ate about one bite....

And then fell asleep. This boy had to be exhausted.

Who needs more sugar? Not these kids....but the ice cream truck was here.

Evan got a snow cone.

Margaret got a Popsicle.

A very messy Popsicle.

I think it was a tweety bird. The old school kids with candy for eyes that always look so creepy. She enjoyed the part she is not wearing!!

That was a crazy sugar filled day! The kids we're bouncing off the walls, but both had a great night sleep from all of the exciting activities that day.
