The Great Cloth Diaper Change!!

So, we went to the great cloth diaper change. It was a big event around the US where mamas get together and we all changed cloth diapers! This was an attempt to set a world record for the most cloth diapers changed simultaneously. Also, a chance to get the word out about cloth diapers. Most people still think about pins and folding flats, but cloth diapers have come a long way. Of course, some mamas still used pins, but I am a fan of the modern cloth diapers. I could go on an one, so anyone interested, let me know. I won't bore everyone else with that!

We were behind schedule when we left because Evan was hungry at ten, right when we were going to leave. That put us fifteen minutes behind schedule. Grr. We get in the car and are racing towards Lewisville because we have to be there no later then 10:50. It is about 10:35 at this point. We get to the area at about 10:45 and are thinking we are going to make it. Well, we can't find the place. We drive up and down MacArthur searching for this place called 'Going Bonkers.' At 10:55 I tell my Mark we should give up. It is no where in sight. I was VERY dissaponted to say the least. Mark was nice enough to look on last time, so we take one last trip down MacArthur and see it. We race inside but figure we are going to miss it. We are late. They are packing up the registration table. We asked if we can still go. We can! We just had to sign a quick consent form and we were in! We walk inside 'Going Bonkers' and there are a ton of people there to change diapers. There is barely room for Evan and me. Luckily, we find a small spot near the entrance and get ready. Then we find out that the change isn't actually until 11:30. It was advertised to be at 11, but I guess they know there are a lot of people with kids you make their own schedules. :) We have thirty minutes to kill. Unfortunately, at this point Mark was not allowed in, so he took pictures from the border of chairs. There were a lot of restrictions put in place by Guinness to make us qualify for the change. They were annoying, but nothing we couldn't manage. Anyway, the time finally came and at 11:30 all of us changed our kids diapers. There was a grand total of 66 kids being changed! I think that is fantastic!

Let the change begin!

We are done!

Other half done!

Yah, we did it!
