A Day Out With Thomas

What a fun morning!!! We were up bright and early to head to Grapevine, so we could go on Evan's first train ride. Thankfully, the traffic wasn't bad and we were there in no time. Since we had bought tickets for the 9am train ride, we where one of the first there. I wouldn't have had it any other way. Evan got a chance to play on the train tables, basically by himself. After playing for about thirty minutes, we went to get in line for the train. This was the hardest part because Evan wanted to get on now and they wouldn't let us on until 8:45. Once we fought the battle of waiting to get on, we had to fight the battle of being on the train, but it not leaving. It was a long wait, but once the train started to go, Evan was thrilled. They tooted the horn and I think that was Evan's favorite part. He also loved when the train went by some tractors doing construction. We were also close to the airport, so he saw some airplanes too! A boys dream. The conductor came by and clicked Evan's ticket. We sang some Thomas songs and even got to dance! It was a great experience for him. Margaret was exhausted and instead of sleeping, she was screaming the whole time. You win some, you lose some!

After the train ride, Evan had some more fun. He played in the bubbles, got to pet some animals, got his first temporary tattoo, and played in the sand!

Can you believe he is napping now??
Playing with the trains they had set up.
He could of stayed here all day.
About to board he train. We had an hour to kill.
Choo choo!!
Evan wasn't so sure about the train at first.
Watching all the people get on the train.
On the train. Evan was ready for it to go!!
Evan heard the train! All aboard!

Pop, pop, pop!
Running around.
Snack break: he didn't like it.
They had a petting zoo. He loved pointing at all the animals.
He found a bunny.
Looking for the ducks! They were his favorite.

Playing in the sand.
It's tattoo time!
He wasn't so sure about it.
TRAIN!!!
Thomas was back! "choo choo back"
Wonder where Margaret was these whole time?
Sleeping like a good girl.
Waving to the choo choo from the tractor!
Yelling at the choo choo!
What they got for riding the train.
