We had so much fun visiting Fern Lake. The kids loved going on the boat with Bob bob. Evan was a fishing master! Mare and Blake were his buddies and taught him how to cast and reel. Evan was the only one that caught a bass. Future fisherman, I don't know, but future fun on the lake and ocean, of course!
Margaret, my sweet girl (aka trouble), threw her pole into the lake on her second try. So, that resulted in a lot of tears. Thankfully, someone stopped to buy her a new one. The good news is, we didn't need it. Blake went searching and found her pole. Margaret was thrilled and I think Blake might be her new knight in shining armor.
I was thrilled that the kids actually got in the lake. I am not sure who convinced them more troy dog or us. Either way, once the kids got in the first time, they loved it.
We all had a blast and can't wait until next summer when we can do it again.
