The Hoppers: Hooray for sunshine

We woke up to thunder and clouds again. Mark and I were both grumpy because it was our last day at the beach AND it did not look like we would get to spend any time there. We made some breakfast at the condo then went BACK to the outlet mall to shop for ourselves instead of babies. Of course, as soon as we get to the outlet mall the sun in out. We spend about an hour shopping and walking around. As we shop, we are both crossing our fingers that the sun stays out. We grab some lunch then head back so Evan can get in a quick nap. Once he is up from his nap, we rush to the beach to hit the sunshine while we can. Thankfully, it was sunny all day! Evan had some fun walking around in the sand and he actually enjoyed the waves. Mark walked out about ankle deep into the ocean and would let the waves hit Evan's feet. As the waves rolled back out Evan would yell at them, "More!" Quite a priceless moment. Of course, a few moment later he had his fill and was ready to get as far away from sand as possible.

We tried the kiddy pool again and low and behold Evan liked it. He played with the fountains for a while. Well, a while in Evan time. I don't think he played more than five minutes, but it was nice to see him enjoying something we thought he would love from the beginning.

After our beach and pool adventure it was time for Evan's afternoon nap. He napped for about 45 minutes and then we tried it all over again. Second time was not a hit AT all. I guess Evan only enjoys the beach on the first go round. So, we came up to the condo and let him play while we made dinner.

Now, Evan is asleep and Mark is packing. So sad to leave. We had a great time!
