What a wonderful weekend. We drove down to Austin on Friday and let me tell you, four hours is nothing compared to driving to Florida. The drive was a breeze. Once we arrived, we checked in, chit chatted with family, and got ready to head to Lake Travis. Did I mention that Matt and Lindsey are getting married? We were off to the rehearsal! The wedding site was a beautiful hill covered in trees that overlooked Lake Travis. Breathtaking! We did a quick rehearsal and then headed to the Oasis for an amazing rehearsal dinner. The view there was awesome! We got to watch the sun set and celebrate the upcoming wedding.
*Wedding Day*
We spent the morning searching for black pants. I had ordered some from Amazon and they did not come in on time. So frustrating because I ordered them over two weeks ahead of time. Funny thing is, they still aren't here. In normal, mom and daughter fashion, we went to Nordstrom's rack. Awesome! Not near as fun with two kids though! After that we went to lunch at northwest by northwest. It was delicious! Great for brunch. Evan loved his pizza and chocolate milk! It was off to the hotel for nap time. Thankfully, Evan took a good nap and was ready for his ring bearer duties. We got him ready for the wedding and took the bus ride over. Yes, I said bus ride. That is all Evan wanted to do all weekend. He was so excited about riding the bus. I can't tell you how many times I sang wheels on the bus to him. Just glad to make him happy. We got the wedding, took pictures, and then it was time. I had to leave and go sit down and I can't tell you how nervous I was that Evan was going to run out screaming or something embarrassing. Luckily, when time came, Evan walked perfectly while waving down the aisle. So proud of my little dude! Lindsey was next and she looked gorgeous. It was a very heartfelt wedding and you could just feel the love between the two! Then just like that Matt and Lindsey were husband and wife!
Now the fun started for Evan. He had a blast dancing with Toddler A. She was precious and they were smitten with each other. She gave him kisses and hugs. They were just adorable. After their dance party, the food trucks arrived and Evan wouldn't leave. "Truck, mama, truck." He would walk around it and point. Then want to 'ride truck.' Then to make matters worse and ice cream truck came. He wasn't leaving! Haha! Evan also had fun looking at the peacocks, chickens, 'meows,' and a tarantula. Scary! Unfortunately, Evan saw a bus and was ready to go home. We hopped on the first bus and headed back to the hotel!
Congrats Matt and Lindsey!! What a beautiful wedding! We are so happy to officially welcome Lindsey to the family. Have a great honeymoon and we can't wait to see you both when you get back!
(I am sure there are a bunch of typos, but I am tired!)
