The Hoppers: Sunday = Bad-day

We had a great weekend....as long as your forget about the 66-6 beating that was put on us by OSU. My goodness. Worst game I think I have ever watched Tech play. It was only fitting that Evan cried after every tech play. He even hid his face in shame.

However, we did have a great time hanging out with Aunt Cathy. Evan got some good play time in. He was sad to leave. In addition, we did attend the Tech basketball game. They won!! (Though I think this night cost us our tire....)

Our adventure back was too exciting. We got in the car at Cathy's house and our 'low pressure' light was on. We went to the closest gas station, filled up the tire, and were on our way. Well, about 10 minutes outside of Lubbock, the light comes on again. We pull over and can hear the hiss of the tire immediately. Sure enough, there is a giant nail in it. Mark takes the tire off and puts the spare on. Thankfully, Evan is sleeping for the majority of this. Thirty minutes later we are back on the road. Mind you, we can only got 60 on the 'spare,' so it is not the fastest "6 hour" trip. Evan was actually a trooper for most of the trip. Right after the tire dilemma, he screamed for about thirty minutes. You can imagine the tension in the car. We stopped in Post, to make sure the tires still looked good. Thankfully, they looked great, but what does Mark do? Drives of the curb onto the road. We thought our spare was going to fall off, but we were lucky!! All the tires did well and about 15 minutes later, Evan fell asleep! We were stuck in the middle of no where when the Cowboy game started and could not find it on the radio. Of course, it was the one day the Cowboys were doing good! We finally made it home after 7 hours on the road. Normally it would just take five! Needless to say, we were VERY happy to make it home!!
