There is still a baby in there.....

Tomorrow is my actual due date or so we think! I am feeling good. A little tired, but nothing bad. Mark has been a trooper and really helped out on the weekends. Thankfully my parents have been around and helped A TON! When my parents aren't here, Bill and Sally are! It is great! I am not sure I would have made it without the help of family. Thank you all!!

Well, today we wanted to do something fun with Evan for a last outing as a family of 3, sniff-sniff. We took him to the Dallas World Aquarium and he still loves it. It wasn't crowded, so Evan really got to look at everything. He loved the otters, monkeys, and penguins. Evan even got to feed a bird a blueberry. He thought that was fascinating. He wasn't really a fan of the sharks which was interesting. I thought he would love staring at them. It was a fun day with Evan. He enjoyed it because he came home and napped for 2 hours (and so did mama). Glad we got to have some quality time with Evan!

Now to wait on this little girl to make her debut. For those of you that don't know, I go to the doctor on Monday. I have an induction date set for Wednesday, September 19th, so we will be meeting her soon!

He looks thrilled.....
Loving the bird!
Watching the otters play.
Pointing at the penguins!
Still loving the penguins!

Shark!
Not loving the sharks!
Laughing at the monkey's!!
Sweet boy!
Why so serious??
Love my guy!

Margaret's Room

Well, since I am limited on what I can do I took a few quick pictures today of Margaret's room. We are done for now with it. We still want something to put on the wall above her crib, but I am very picky about what goes up there for safety reasons. Mark went and picked up her chair today and somehow managed to hee-man it into her room. Not an easy task! I am really bummed about the chair because it was suppose to be a solid light pink, but instead we got hot pink, polka dots. Not my favorite and doesn't match the room, but it took forever to get a chair, so I am going to LOVE it.

Bed rest

Mark and I went to my ob appointment on Thursday and my blood pressure was elevated. They went ahead and sent me to labor and delivery to be monitored. What we though would be a quick hour in the hospital turned into a long ordeal. The worst part was they wanted to draw my blood to double check everything, but had trouble finding a vein. I was poked a million times and finally they called the phlebotomist in. She even had issues, but eventually they got their blood. The all test came back just fine. I am still having contractions, but nothing too regular.

Thankfully my mom was at home watching Evan. She had to unexpectedly give Evan dinner, bathe him, and put him to bed. I felt horrible that I wasn't there to put him to bed, but knew he was in great hands. We were finally released, but I was put on bedrest until Monday, when I go back to the ob. My mom watched Evan for me today and it is so hard to sit and do nothing. I am trying very hard to actually enjoy this time because never again will I be able to just sit and try to relax, but boy is it hard!

Exciting Night.

Well, as many of you know Mark and I spent last night in labor and delivery. My sister and dad were in town (so fortunate) and we were all just hanging out watching college football. I started having contractions around 3pm, but just let them take their course. Around 10pm they were about 5 minutes apart and semi-intense. Marilyn drove us up to labor and delivery while my dad watch Evan (who was thankfully sleeping).

We got checked in and sure enough I was having contractions and dilating. My doctor was not available, so we had been in communication  with the on call doctor. This ended up being a problem because way back when we first confirmed this pregnancy we had told my doctor the wrong LMP. We later changed it, but she said she would just leave it on my file because she doesn't like to change due dates. Well, since the on call doctor only had my file he thought I was only 36 weeks. So, long story short, I was put on some medicine to stop the contractions. The first dose didn't work at all and I was starting to feel worse. Finally at 2am, after the second dose, the contractions had lessened. The doctor was suppose to come see us that morning, but by 10am he still hadn't showed up, so the nurse called him. He said I could go home as long as I continued the medicine. So, we left with instructions to basically only come back if my water breaks. I see my doctor on Thursday and I can't wait to hear what she has to say about all this. For now Margaret gets to bake a little longer, which is fine by us, because we still have some things to do before she gets here!

I apologize for the typos, but just wanted to update. Very tired and off to get some much needed rest!

19 months

I can't believe that Evan is already 19 months old. He is growing too fast and learning so much. I also can't believe this is his last month as an only child. So sad. We will be enjoying as much mommy and Evan time as possible. I'm off to bed, but had to share some pictures since I haven't been around lately.
